I started using Mechanical
Desktop to model a R/C Helicopter for a friend of mine who
owns a company which builds them. I've completed about 90%
of the model and ran out of time. After going to a Autodesk
Inventor workshop I decided that was the way to go for modeling
in the future. Mechanical Desktop is great software but
for what I was trying to accomplish Inventor is much better.
In my spare time I've learned Autodesk Inventor while modeling
items around the house. Thumbnails of these can be viewed
at right. After building my own CNC router, I've exported
some of my models to GCode and ran them on my CNC Router.

While flying R/C Jets I started
a website call Turbine
Central where I sold R/C Turbine Accessories for jets.
I developed the GSU using Autodesk inventor and brought
my design to a local sheet metal shop for fabrication. All
graphics and assembly where done by me. Pictures of the
assembly and final product can be seen at right.
